Terms of Service

1. About Dabo

Dabo is a sports organization and community platform designed to help clubs, teams, captains, coaches, administrators, and players organize and participate in sports activities. Depending on the features available to you, Dabo may allow users to create and manage clubs and teams; manage player and member rosters; schedule matches, practices, lessons, social games, tournaments, and other activities; RSVP and indicate availability; create and manage lineups; communicate with other users; participate in ladders, leagues, tournaments, and competitions; record and view scores, results, rankings, ratings, and player records; manage club or league membership information; and use other sports-related organizational and social features. Features may differ depending on a user's role, club, organization, location, subscription, or version of the Services.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate and current information when creating and maintaining your Dabo account. You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Certain Dabo accounts, clubs, teams, or features may require approval by Dabo, a participating club, team captain, administrator, or other authorized person. Access to a club or team through Dabo does not itself establish or verify membership in that organization. You may not impersonate another person, create an account using another person's information without authorization, or provide false or misleading information.

3. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create or maintain a Dabo account. Dabo is a general-audience sports platform and is not directed to children under 13. Dabo requires date of birth as part of account registration and may use this information to enforce age requirements and determine eligibility for age-restricted tournaments, divisions, leagues, or other activities. Individuals whose date of birth indicates that they are under 13 are not permitted to register for or maintain a Dabo account.

If you are at least 13 but have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Dabo only with the permission of your parent or legal guardian. By creating an account or continuing to use Dabo, you represent that you have obtained that permission.

Access to Dabo through a particular app store, device, platform, club, league, or jurisdiction may be subject to additional age or eligibility restrictions. If a platform or applicable law imposes a higher minimum age or other restriction, that requirement applies to your use of Dabo through that platform or in that jurisdiction.

Clubs, teams, captains, coaches, administrators, and other users must not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.

4. Clubs, Captains, Coaches, and Administrators

Certain users may receive administrative permissions allowing them to manage clubs, teams, rosters, schedules, lineups, results, or other users.

If you use administrative features, you agree to use those permissions only for legitimate club, team, or sporting purposes; access and use personal information only as necessary for those purposes; maintain appropriate confidentiality; not misuse another user's personal information; and comply with applicable laws and your organization's policies.

Dabo may modify, suspend, or revoke administrative privileges when reasonably necessary.

5. Club and Team Information

Information appearing within Dabo about clubs, teams, players, matches, schedules, rankings, ratings, court assignments, lineups, and other sporting activities may be entered by Dabo, clubs, captains, administrators, users, or third-party sources.

Although we strive for accuracy, Dabo does not guarantee that all such information is complete, accurate, or current. Official club, league, tournament, or governing-body records and rules take precedence over information displayed within Dabo where there is a discrepancy.

6. Scheduling, RSVPs, and Lineups

Dabo provides tools to assist users in coordinating sporting activities. An RSVP, availability response, lineup, match assignment, court assignment, invitation, or other status shown within Dabo does not guarantee participation unless confirmed by the applicable club, captain, coach, administrator, or organizer. Users remain responsible for confirming important scheduling and participation information.

7. Scores, Rankings, Ratings, and Competition Results

Dabo may display scores, match results, records, ratings, rankings, ladder positions, tournament brackets, statistics, and similar information. Some information may be submitted by users or obtained from clubs, leagues, governing bodies, or other sources.

Dabo may correct or remove information that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, fraudulent, duplicated, improperly submitted, or inconsistent with applicable competition rules. Where a club, league, tournament, or governing body maintains an official result or rating, its official record controls.

8. Communications and User Content

Dabo may allow you to post, send, upload, or otherwise provide messages, photographs, profile information, match information, comments, and other material ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content to Dabo, you grant Dabo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, and protect the Services.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to provide any User Content you submit. You may not submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, contains malicious software, impersonates another person, constitutes spam or unauthorized commercial solicitation, or otherwise interferes with Dabo.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

Dabo may suggest other players to you, and may show you to other players in search and as a suggested connection, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can choose whether players outside your clubs can find you in your profile settings. A suggestion, a connection, or an invitation is not an endorsement or verification by Dabo of any player, and you are responsible for your own judgment when arranging to meet or play with people you do not know. You may not use connection requests, invitations, or groups to harass another person or to send unsolicited commercial messages. You may decline or remove a connection, and block or report another player, at any time.

9. Acceptable Use

You may not access another user's account without authorization; scrape, harvest, or systematically extract information from Dabo without our written permission; use automated systems in a manner that places unreasonable demands on our infrastructure; attempt to circumvent security or access controls; reverse engineer the Services except where expressly permitted by law; use Dabo to stalk, harass, discriminate against, or harm another person; collect or use user information for unrelated marketing or commercial purposes without authorization; manipulate scores, rankings, ratings, results, or competition records; or use the Services for unlawful purposes.

10. Third-Party Services

Dabo may use, integrate with, or link to third-party products and services, including providers of cloud infrastructure, authentication, communications, push notifications, mapping, analytics, payment processing, security, and other technology or business services. Your use of independently operated third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Dabo is not responsible for third-party products or services that we do not control.

11. Fees and Paid Services

Certain Dabo features may be offered free of charge while others may require payment. Where fees apply, pricing and applicable terms will be disclosed before purchase. Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable after the applicable service has been provided. We may change our pricing or introduce new paid features in the future, but such changes will not retroactively alter charges you have already incurred.

12. Intellectual Property

The Dabo name, logos, branding, software, interface, design, graphics, technology, and other materials provided by Dabo are owned by or licensed to Dabo and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services for their intended purposes. No ownership rights in Dabo's intellectual property are transferred to you.

13. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion

You may stop using Dabo at any time and may request deletion of your account through functionality provided within Dabo or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or potential legal exposure for Dabo or another person, engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity, or used the Services in a manner that threatens their security or operation. Where reasonably practicable, we may provide notice before termination.

14. Service Availability and Changes

We continuously develop Dabo and may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may perform maintenance or experience outages caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

15. Sports and Physical Activity Disclaimer

Dabo helps organize sporting activities but does not supervise or control the physical activities arranged through the Services. Participation in sports involves inherent risks of injury. You are responsible for determining whether you are physically capable of participating in an activity and for exercising appropriate judgment regarding facilities, equipment, weather, opponents, and playing conditions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dabo is not responsible for injuries, accidents, property damage, or other losses arising from participation in sporting activities organized, discovered, or coordinated through the Services.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Dabo disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability to the extent such warranties may legally be disclaimed. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dabo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the Services. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dabo's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to Dabo during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US$100. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dabo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your User Content, or your material violation of these Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

For Services provided by Dabo Technologies HK Limited in Hong Kong, applicable mandatory laws of Hong Kong will continue to apply where required. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method. Your continued use of Dabo after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
